Oklahoma made big plays on all three sides of the ball Saturday night. Defense, offense, and special teams all contributed to OU’s 50-20 with over Iowa State. The Sooners improved to 5-0 and moved up to #12 in the AP Poll. As to which play was the most impressive, once again, we are leaving that in your hands.
Billy Bowman 44-Yard Interception Return
Less than a minute into the game, Oklahoma’s defense put six points on the board. Granted, Iowa State’s offense would still have some fight in them, but Sooner fans couldn’t have asked for a better start.
Dillon Gabriel Trucks His Way Into The End Zone
If you can’t buy in on Dillon Gabriel after this play, then you’re probably not going to. It’s not just the touchdown. It’s the tenacity, power, and then the attitude that followed. It kind of reminds you of ole #6 a few years back.
Peyton Bowen’s Punt Block
This play could have been more had Trace Ford been able to control the ball, but as it stood, it was still pretty spectacular. It’s the third time in five games that Oklahoma’s special teams have made an impact play.
Jayden Gibson Won’t Be Denied
Forget the fact that it was fourth down. Forget the fact that Dillon Gabriel had all day and threw a strike. Jayden Gibson, after the catch, is what puts this one over the top.
