Graduate right-hander Karlie Keeney delivered a performance to remember in her final regular-season start. She tossed a gem, shutting out the Cowgirls for 6.2 innings while scattering four hits and striking out three. Her dominant effort provided a crucial foundation for the Sooners’ victory.
Pickering Starts the Fire, But Cowgirls Respond:
Freshman Kasidi Pickering got the offensive party started for Oklahoma with a two-run homer in the fourth inning. However, Oklahoma State battled back, tying the game at 2-2 in the sixth inning on a two-run single by Micaela Wark.

Just when the momentum seemed to be shifting towards the Cowgirls, the Sooners erupted in the bottom of the sixth. A barrage of six runs, highlighted by back-to-back home runs from Ella Parker and Tiare Jennings, put the game firmly out of reach. Parker capped off a terrific 3-for-4 day at the plate with a monstrous three-run homer.

Keeney shut down the Cowgirls in the seventh to secure the win. With this victory, Oklahoma not only salvages the Bedlam series but also locks in the No. 2 seed at the Big 12 Softball Championship, which begins on May 9th.
