Last week, our Friday Locks crew went 6-7, bringing our season record to 31-40. While we had some solid picks, there’s still plenty of room for improvement.
This week, we’re analyzing 10 games, with a particular focus on the Tennessee vs. Arkansas matchup. Three of our guys have weighed in on this SEC showdown, providing their insights and predictions.
Let’s see if we can improve our record and hit some winning picks this week!
The fourth-ranked Volunteers are set to face a tough test on the road against the Razorbacks. Tennessee has struggled in Fayetteville in recent years, losing their last three visits. However, they are coming off a victory over Oklahoma and are looking to build momentum.
Arkansas is also seeking a win after a close loss to Texas A&M. Injuries have affected their roster, particularly on the offensive line. However, they have shown flashes of potential and will be looking to capitalize on their home-field advantage.

Week 6 Picks
Caleb
N Illinois (-17) vs Massachusetts | UMass has been one of the worst teams in college football ever the past few years, and there’s no difference this year. N Illiois has looked promising after the upset over number 5 Notre Dame and are looking for a big bounce back after dropping 2 games in a row.
Navy (-9.5) vs Air Force | Navy has looked like one of the better groups of 5 teams. They should keep the ball rolling against the Air Force.
Boise ST (-27) vs Utah State | The Broncos has one the best if not the best RBs in Ashton Jeanty. He’s been untouchable all season long, and Utah State has looked really bad.
Clemson (-14.5) vs FSU | The Seminoles haven’t looked good this season, while Clemson has looked pretty good. While going on the road isn’t easy I don’t expect FSU to be able to do much against Clemson this week.
Craig
Baylor (+11.5) at Iowa State | The Cyclones are going to win this one, but I don’t think they will cover. Baylor has a good enough offense to keep it close, meanwhile the Cyclones have struggled to produce points in most of their outings.
USC (-8) at Minnesota | The Trojans are simply the better team in this matchup. I expect that they will have no issues going on the road and covering this spread.
Tennessee (-13) at Arkansas | The Vols are one of the best teams in the country. Despite being on the road they should be able to handle Arkansas with little to no trouble.
Matt
Arkansas (+13.5) vs. Tennessee | The Vols have lost their last three visits playing Arkansas in Fayetteville, a drought they aim to end Saturday night, but I don’t think it’ll come easy.
UCLA (+28.5) at Penn State | The Bruins and Nittany Lions are unfamiliar opponents trending in opposite directions. They’re going to meet for the first time since 1968, and that’s a huge point spread for a conference game.
Texas A&M (-2.5) vs. Missouri | After a season-opening loss to Notre Dame, the Aggies have won four straight games and now get Missouri on their first road game of the season.
Zack
Missouri Tigers (+2) at Texas A&M Aggies | College Station is supposedly one of the toughest places to play in all of college football, but I think Mizzou is legit. I’m taking the Tigers to win this one.
Tennessee Volunteers (-13.5) at Arkansas Razorbacks | Arkansas has looked better than expected at times, but the Volunteers might be the real deal in the SEC. I think Tennessee is going to win this one BIG.
Miami (FL) Hurricanes (-10.5) at California Golden Bears | The Hurricanes struggled last week when they shouldn’t have. I don’t see that happening again. California stinks, and Miami is going to show why they’re worthy of a top 10 ranking.
