The greatest summer in Oklahoma City history keeps getting better with the news of a contract extension for the league MVP.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has agreed to a 4 year, $285 million super maximum contract extension with the Oklahoma City Thunder. He is just the 15th player to sign a super max extension.
This extension makes him the highest paid player in NBA history. The contract has an annual value of $71.25 million. The deal also keeps the MVP in Oklahoma City through the 2030-31 season.
The deal is much deserved after the historic season SGA put together. All-Star starter, All-NBA first team, Scoring Champion, MVP, Western Conference Finals MVP, Finals MVP, and most importantly: NBA Champion.
At just 26 years old, this is just the beginning for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
