For Week 11 of our SEC Power Rankings, we tallied the votes from three contributors — Caleb, Craig, and Matt — using a 16-point system. Each first-place vote earns 16 points, second place 15, and so on, all the way down to one point for the 16th-place team. This week, there were no ties anywhere in the rankings, and we even found unanimous agreement at three spots: Texas A&M remains the undisputed No. 1 after an idle week, Oklahoma locks down the No. 6 position, and Arkansas anchors the bottom at No. 16 after yet another close loss. The Aggies’ dominance, the Sooners’ steady climb, and the Razorbacks’ continued struggles were three things we all saw the same way.
Beyond that, however, there’s plenty of room for debate. We’re nearly on the same page with teams like Alabama, Texas, and Vanderbilt, who sit consistently in the upper half across all ballots. But deeper in the standings, the separation grows. Missouri, Tennessee, and LSU sparked the most disagreement — some seeing them as legitimate top-eight teams, others sliding them toward the middle. Auburn, Mississippi State, and Kentucky continue to shuffle week-to-week as each program fights to stay out of the bottom tier. From here on out, every performance carries weight, and as we head into the final stretch of the season, the line between “bowl-bound” and “bottom-tier” has never felt thinner.

Comparing Week 10 to Week 11
Week 11’s SEC Power Rankings didn’t bring a shake-up at the top, but the middle and bottom of the list continue to tell an evolving story. Texas A&M held its unanimous No. 1 spot for the second straight week, while Alabama and Georgia maintained their familiar second and third positions. The top five — rounded out by Ole Miss and Texas — remains nearly identical, a reflection of how consistent those programs have been in both results and identity. The most notable development among the contenders is the narrowing gap between Ole Miss and the teams above them. The Rebels gained a point over last week, suggesting growing confidence in their balance and offensive firepower. Meanwhile, Oklahoma’s steady rise continues, locking in at No. 6 unanimously this week, up from a divided seventh last time. That shift indicates that the Sooners’ win in Knoxville didn’t just validate their SEC readiness — it solidified them as a real top-half presence in the league.
Where things really get interesting is from No. 7 through No. 15, where volatility is the name of the game. Vanderbilt and Tennessee held steady near the top of the middle tier, while Missouri and LSU continue to hover on the edge of the top 10. Mississippi State saw a small bump in total points, reflecting an improving late-season push, while Florida and South Carolina inched closer together again. The biggest movement, however, came near the bottom. Auburn tumbled after another lackluster showing, dropping from 11th to 14th, while Kentucky’s ugly but gritty win allowed them to climb out of the cellar for now. Arkansas, once again in last place, continues to lose tight games — but at this stage, moral victories don’t count in the rankings. The separation between the upper half and the bottom tier is growing, and as we approach the final weeks, the race to finish in the SEC’s top 10 is becoming just as intense as the battle for the crown.
Individual Rankings
Caleb
1. Texas A&M | The Aggies have looked like one of the best teams in the country. They got this week off as they prepare for Missouri.
2. Alabama | The Tide has bounced back in a big way after a disappointing Week 1 start. Ty Simpson has this team heading in the right direction.
3. Ole Miss | Kewan Lacy was probably the most impressive player in college football this week. Him and this Ole Miss offense are rolling through their opponents.
4. Georgia
5. Texas
6. Oklahoma
7. Missouri
8. Vanderbilt
9. Tennessee
10. Mississippi State
11. LSU
12. Florida
13. South Carolina
14. Kentucky
15. Auburn | Even after benching Jackson Arnold Auburn couldn’t get anything going.
16. Arkansas | The Hogs simply can’t find ways to win games.
Craig
1. Texas A&M | No game for A&M means they stay in first. Tough one coming up on the road at Missouri though.
2. Alabama | The Tide had a bye week as well. No movement at the top of the rankings.
3. Georgia | The Bulldogs barely escaped Florida on the road. They had a few more controversial calls as well. It will be interesting to see how this team finishes out the regular season.
4. Ole Miss
5. Texas
6. Oklahoma
7. Vanderbilt
8. Tennessee
9. Missouri
10. LSU
11. South Carolina
12. Florida
13. Mississippi State
14. Auburn
15. Kentucky | A win over Auburn is enough for me to bump Kentucky out of last place. Even if it’s just for a week. It was an ugly, but nice, win for the Wildcats.
16. Arkansas | The Razorbacks have lost so many close games this season. That was their fourth loss by 3 or fewer points.
Matt
1. Texas A&M | Idle. Remains on top.
2. Georgia | Didn’t dominate, but surviving a rivalry road test matters. Defense closed the door late. They move up because they won and Alabama did not play.
3. Alabama | Idle. Slight move only because Georgia won on the road.
4. Texas
5. Ole Miss
6. Oklahoma
7. Vanderbilt
8. Tennessee
9. LSU
10. Missouri
11. Mississippi State
12. Auburn
13. Florida
14. South Carolina
15. Kentucky | That was a rock-bottom loss for Auburn, but a sign of hope for the Wildcats.
16. Arkansas | Competitive again, but still losing again. No movement until they finish a game.
