For the first time this season, the board looks… oddly unified. In Week 10, we have four unanimous selections — including the top three spots, where Texas A&M, Alabama and Georgia locked down the SEC’s current power hierarchy without debate. At the bottom, Kentucky nearly received a clean sweep at No. 16 as the Wildcats continue a brutal downward slide. What stands out most this week isn’t chaos at the top or a surprise riser at the bottom — it’s the emerging clarity about who’s truly built for the stretch run. The league feels like three elite programs pressing for playoff positioning, while the middle class jostles to either prove they belong or fade quietly into bowl-season limbo.
Of course, not everything is neat and tidy in SEC country. Texas, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt and Oklahoma continue to create varied opinions depending on who you ask — and this week’s rankings include another tie, with Florida and South Carolina sharing the No. 13 spot. That tie alone shows how murky the lower-mid tier still is, with both programs showing flashes but falling short of consistency. Meanwhile, Missouri, Tennessee and LSU continue to live in the “we kind of agree, but not really” range as each team struggles for identity week to week. With November here and road slates about to get brutal, the separation we’ve started to see feels real — and the margin for anyone trying to climb is shrinking fast.

Comparing Week 9 to Week 10
The top of the SEC board didn’t change much from Week 9 to Week 10, but the tone around those teams certainly did. Texas A&M stays in the driver’s seat and even gained a point this week after dismantling LSU, while Alabama slipped slightly in points despite holding onto No. 2 — proof that the Tide’s narrow escape at South Carolina didn’t inspire much confidence. Georgia remained steady in third after a bye, but the real movement in the top tier came with Ole Miss overtaking Texas for fourth place following the Rebels’ statement win in Norman. Vanderbilt also quietly climbed a spot to No. 6, earning another point and continuing what has become one of the most surprising and stable rises anywhere in the conference.
Further down the board, the shifts tell a story of momentum — or the lack of it. Oklahoma slipped from sixth to seventh after its late-game letdown against Ole Miss, losing five points in the process. Tennessee jumped one spot with a convincing win over Kentucky, while Missouri and LSU both dropped a point and exchanged places in the back half of the top 10. The most dramatic change came near the bottom, where Florida and South Carolina ended up tied at No. 13 after the Gamecocks closed the gap with a gritty showing against Alabama. Meanwhile, Arkansas held at No. 15, and Kentucky slid into sole possession of last place — a fitting reflection of a Wildcats squad struggling to stay competitive as the SEC grind intensifies heading into November.
Individual Ballots
Caleb
1. Texas A&M | The Aggies dominated LSU as they continue to look like the best team in the country.
2. Alabama | The Tide had a close one against South Carolina, but this team has still come a long way since Week One.
3. Georgia | The Bulldogs have looked pretty good so far this season. Gunnar Stockton has been a real bright spot for this team.
4. Ole Miss
5. Texas
6. Vanderbilt
7. Missouri
8. Tennessee
9. Oklahoma
10. LSU
11. Aubrun
12. Mississippi State
13. Florida
14. South Carolina
15. Arkansas | The Hogs looked to be in good shape at the half, but couldn’t find a way to win.
16. Kentucky | The Wildcats have played bad all season.
Craig
1. Texas A&M | Is it finally the Aggies year? They made light work of LSU in Death Valley. If this team gets past Missouri they have a real shot at running the table.
2. Alabama | A lot of people gave up on Alabama. But, they’re currently playing like one of the best teams in the country. They arguably have the best quarterback in the country as well.
3. Georgia | No game this week for Georgia so they remain in the same spot.
4. Ole Miss
5. Vanderbilt
6. Texas
7. Oklahoma
8. Tennessee
9. Missouri
10. LSU
11. South Carolina
12. Auburn
13. Florida
14. Mississippi State
15. Arkansas | The Razorbacks gave it their all against Auburn but came up short in the end. One more loss and this team isn’t going bowling.
16. Kentucky | The Wildcats lost to Tennessee by three scores. That’s their third loss in conference play by three scores.
Matt
1. Texas A&M | The Aggies bounced back from a shaky win at Arkansas with a complete, dominant performance against LSU. Quarterback Marcel Reed accounted for four total touchdowns and over 300 total yards, showing command and efficiency. The defense tightened up, limiting LSU’s run game and forcing timely stops. With Alabama surviving rather than impressing, A&M claims the top spot for me, this week.
2. Alabama | Alabama stays unbeaten in SEC play but didn’t look sharp. The Tide needed a fourth-quarter rally to escape Columbia. Ty Simpson was solid (253 yards, 2 TDs), but Alabama’s offensive rhythm sputtered for long stretches. The defense bent more than usual against a struggling Gamecock offense. Still elite, still physical — but showing some wear.
3. Georgia | The Bulldogs had a bye week and stay put. With a late-season push coming, Georgia remains the league’s best “complete” team when fully locked in.
4. Texas
5. Ole Miss
6. Oklahoma
7. Vanderbilt
8. Tennessee
9. LSU
10. Missouri
11. Mississippi State
12. Auburn
13. Florida
14. South Carolina
15. Kentucky | Kentucky simply can’t stop anyone right now. Offense showed a pulse, but the secondary was shredded. The Wildcats are in a downward spiral and staring at a tough finish.
16. Arkansas | Different week, same story — close, but not enough. The Razorbacks once again flashed talent but failed to close. They stay in the basement until they prove otherwise.
