Series History

OKC is 1-0 against the Kings so far this season (1-0 at home, 0-0 on the road).

Why the Thunder Will Cover (-10.5)

OKC was especially good at bouncing back from losses last season, and I anticipate that will be the case again this season. The Thunder struggled late in Portland on Wednesday, but after a day of rest, they should be closer to their typical form. Chet Holmgren and Alex Caruso are off the injury report, and Luguent Dort is questionable. Meanwhile, Domantas Sabonis is questionable for the Kings. I think OKC comes out with a sense of urgency, covering the double-digit spread.

Why the Game Will Hit the Over (230.5)

The first meeting between these two teams was extremely low scoring for the Thunder, but they have shot a lot better since then. On top of that, don’t expect another poor shooting night from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Put all of that together with the expectation of a bigger spread, and it should equate to a higher-scoring game.
