Oklahoma fans won’t have to wait until February to see familiar faces back on the diamond.
As the Athletes Unlimited Softball League launches its 2026 season, the Sooners once again have one of the strongest professional footprints in the sport. Oklahoma is tied with UCLA for the most alumnae represented in the new league, with 12 former Sooners connected to AUSL organizations and 10 beginning the season on active rosters.
For Sooner fans still processing the end of the 2026 college season, the summer provides another opportunity to follow some of the biggest names in program history.
The Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) began play Tuesday, and Oklahoma once again was at the center of the professional game.
Games throughout the season will air on ESPN platforms, MLB Network, MLB.com, MLB.TV and the MLB App, giving Oklahoma fans plenty of opportunities to keep following some of the greatest players in program history.
Here’s where every former Sooner will be playing.
Chicago Bandits
Ailana Agbayani
One of the newest professional Sooners begins her career immediately after wrapping up a standout senior season in Norman.
Agbayani earned an AUSL Golden Ticket and was selected in the third round of the 2026 draft by the Bandits. The former everyday second baseman leaves Oklahoma as one of the steadiest defenders in school history.
The 2025 Rawlings Gold Glove Award winner compiled a .357 career batting average, collected 227 hits and stole 49 bases while posting a .967 fielding percentage. She was also a three-time NFCA All-Region selection.
For fans who grew attached to Agbayani’s consistency and defense over the past two seasons, her professional debut begins immediately.
Jocelyn Alo
The biggest name in college softball history is back for another professional season.
Alo enters 2026 as an inactive player for the Bandits, but her presence remains one of the league’s biggest attractions. The NCAA career home run queen helped Oklahoma win consecutive national championships in 2021 and 2022 and was named the 2022 Women’s College World Series Most Outstanding Player.
Since being selected No. 1 overall in the 2022 professional draft, Alo has continued representing the sport internationally and remains one of softball’s biggest ambassadors.
Texas Volts
Rylie Boone
One of the most beloved players of Oklahoma’s championship dynasty joins the Volts after previously starring for the Oklahoma City Spark.
The Owasso native helped the Sooners capture four straight national championships and finished her career with a .407 batting average. Boone’s speed and defense made her a fan favorite throughout her time in Norman.
She has also become an international standout while representing Team Mexico.
Tiare Jennings
Few players in program history can match Jennings’ résumé.
A four-time national champion and four-time NFCA All-American, Jennings remains one of the most decorated players ever to wear the interlocking OU.
Her career numbers are staggering:
- .412 batting average
- 314 hits
- 98 home runs
- 314 RBIs
- 277 runs scored
Jennings still owns the Women’s College World Series career RBI record with 29.
Even while serving as a student assistant coach at Oklahoma, Jennings continues building an impressive professional career.
Carolina Blaze
Alyssa Brito
Brito enjoyed a sensational first professional season in 2025 and now heads into year two with the Blaze.
The former Sooner slugger hit .447 with six home runs and 23 RBIs in just 17 games last year. Four of those home runs came during the final six contests, showcasing the same clutch power Oklahoma fans watched during three national championship seasons.
Brito finished her collegiate career with:
- .373 batting average
- 59 home runs
- 198 RBIs
- 240 hits
She also recently represented the United States Women’s National Team pool during the 2025 Down Under Series.
Keilani Ricketts
Long before the four-peat dynasty, there was Keilani Ricketts.
The 2013 Women’s College World Series Most Outstanding Player remains one of the greatest two-way players college softball has ever seen.
During her legendary Oklahoma career, Ricketts:
- Went 125-35 in the circle.
- Pitched more than 1,000 innings.
- Hit 47 home runs.
- Drove in 156 runs.
More than a decade after leading the Sooners to a national championship, Ricketts continues extending one of the most remarkable careers in softball history.
Utah Talons
Jayda Coleman
Coleman enters the season fresh off winning gold with Team USA at the 2025 World Games.
Her Oklahoma career was simply extraordinary.
The former outfielder helped the Sooners capture four consecutive national championships and finished with:
- .415 batting average
- 283 runs scored
- Four NFCA All-America honors
- 2023 Big 12 Player of the Year honors
Coleman’s elite defense and infectious personality made her one of the faces of the dynasty years, and she now brings that energy to the Talons.
Portland Cascade
Sam Landry
Although she spent only one season in Norman, Landry made it count.
The SEC Newcomer of the Year posted a 25-6 record in 2025 while striking out 186 batters over 191.2 innings.
Her dominance earned First Team All-SEC honors and NFCA Second Team All-America recognition.
Landry was selected first overall in the inaugural AUSL draft and now pairs with another former Sooner ace.
Kelly Maxwell
Maxwell’s lone season at Oklahoma ended with the ultimate reward — a national championship and Women’s College World Series Most Outstanding Player honors.
After pitching professionally in Japan and representing Team USA, Maxwell joins the Cascade alongside Landry.
Her 2024 season in Norman produced:
- 23-2 record
- 1.94 ERA
- 164 strikeouts
Maxwell’s postseason brilliance cemented her place among Oklahoma’s championship legends.
Oklahoma City Spark
No organization features more former Sooners than the hometown Spark.
Kinzie Hansen-McKinzie
The former Johnny Bench Award winner begins the season on the temporary inactive list but remains one of the franchise’s foundational players.
During Oklahoma’s four-title run, Hansen-McKinzie hit 60 home runs, drove in 219 runs and posted a remarkable .992 fielding percentage.
Haley Lee
Lee continues her professional career after becoming one of the heroes of Oklahoma’s 2023 championship team.
She was named Most Outstanding Player of the 2023 Big 12 Tournament and showcased versatility throughout her collegiate career.
Sydney Romero
Now an assistant coach at Oregon, Romero continues balancing coaching and professional softball.
The two-time national champion started 257 of 258 career games for Oklahoma and retired holding school records for at-bats and doubles.
Amber Flores — Head Coach
One more Sooner connection resides in the dugout.
Former Oklahoma standout Amber Flores serves as head coach of the Spark. Flores played for the Sooners from 2007 through 2010 and now guides one of the league’s marquee franchises.
A Summer Filled With Crimson and Cream
The 2026 college season may be over, but Oklahoma’s influence on softball certainly isn’t.
From legends like Jocelyn Alo and Keilani Ricketts to newer stars such as Ailana Agbayani and Sam Landry, the AUSL is overflowing with former Sooners.
For fans still looking for reasons to tune in, the answer is simple.
The Oklahoma dynasty isn’t taking the summer off.
It’s just wearing different uniforms. For Oklahoma fans, it may be the closest thing to a year-round softball season.
