A Look At What Oklahoma Is Getting From Thursday’s Transfer Portal Haul

Patty Gasso made it clear after Oklahoma’s stunning Super Regional exit that the Sooners needed experience, depth and players capable of restoring some of the traits that have defined the program for more than a decade. On Thursday, Oklahoma addressed several of those needs in one shot.

The Sooners landed three transfer portal commitments — Middle Tennessee outfielder Macie Harter, College of Southern Idaho speedster Adi Hansen and Loyola Chicago catcher Abbie Gregus — giving Gasso her first portal additions of the offseason.

After missing the Women’s College World Series for the first time since 2015 and dealing with some roster turnover, Oklahoma entered the summer needing proven veterans. Thursday’s haul may not have featured the headline-grabbing ace pitcher many fans are still hoping for, but it filled three important holes on the roster and gave the Sooners much-needed experience entering 2027.
