Conor McKenna went 2-for-4 from the plate, knocking in three RBI, to boost Oklahoma’s offense. The Sooners scored three runs in the first to jump out early on New Mexico and then added five more runs over the fourth, fifth, and seventh innings to seemingly take control of the game before the Lobos rallied.

Ben Abram improved his season record to 4-0 by pitching six solid innings in which he allowed just one run off three hits. A trio of pitches came in to pitch relief after Abram was lifted, including Aaron Brooks and Zack Matthews who didn’t allow a hit through the eighth and ninth innings.

Nathan Wiles struck out 10 batters over seven full innings of work to improve his season record to 2-0. OU’s lone run came in the top of the fifth when Milan Walla knocked in Brady Harlan on a line drive single into center field.
