Strong Recruiting Week For Oklahoma Continues With Commitment Of 3-Star Linebacker

A week that started out very good for Oklahoma football recruiting has only gotten better as 3-star prospect Kenneth Murray announced his commitment on Wednesday morning. At 6-2/208 Murray becomes the 18th member of Oklahoma’s 2017 recruiting class. Wednesday’s addition of Murray, along with Monday’s announcement from Shawnee’s Creed Humphrey has boosted the Sooners current class to #4, as ranked by Rivals.

A prospect from Missouri City, Texas, Murray has drawn interest from 25 different schools and scholarship offers from 22 of those schools. Among the schools offering were Big 12 opponents Baylor, Kansas and Texas, along with the likes of Michigan, Nebraska, and Texas A&M among the others.

Murray joins 4-star Collinsville, Oklahoma prospect Levi Draper as the linebackers currently committed in the 2017 class. Draper was recruited by Mike Stoops and Murray by Tim Kish.
