Tulsa starting quarterback Dane Evans has played in 33 games and has 30 starts under his belt during his first three seasons with the Golden Hurricane. He’s averaging a 56% completion rate and has racked up 8,332 career passing yards and 52 touchdowns which ranks him fourth on the school’s all-time lists for both passing yards and touchdown passes.
He took over the starting quarterback position during the final four games of the 2013 season and going into this fall he has the opportunity to set the all-time school mark for touchdowns, passing yards and total yards. His four career 400 yard passing games tie him for the most in school history as well.
A native of Sanger, Texas, Evans was a 3-star prospect by Rivals. In addition to Tulsa, he also drew offers from SMU, Utah, and Utah State. He’ll have the opportunity to set personal, and school, records during his final season while attempting to lead the Golden Hurricane to the American Conference championship.
