2017 Safety Evan Fields has seen his recruitment take off over the past few weeks. The 6-2/190 pound Midwest City product has picked up offers from Oklahoma State and Mississippi State recently to go along with offers from Houston, Memphis, and Arizona State to name a few.
Fields visited the Sooners from the Red River Shootout, and now is set to visit this weekend. He tweeted out his intentions earlier this evening with the following tweet.

Assuming the Sooners are going to continue to play a hybrid 3-4, where an oversized DB/undersized LB like Will Johnson is utilized, than Fields is more than an ideal fit. I expect him to pick up an offer this weekend. while in Norman.
I am not quite ready to say an offer would lock up Fields, but I believe the Sooners would become incredibly hard to beat Fields.
