The Sooners class of 2017 has grown by one as 2017 DB Tre Norwood 5-11/175 from Ft. Smith, Arkansas just tweeted out his commitment. Here is the tweet.

Norwood hasn’t had his Sooners offer long, and many assumed he was going to end up at Notre Dame, but that was not the case. Norwood chose the Sooners overs offers from Tennessee, Notre Dame, Oklahoma State, Minnesota, and Louisville to name a few. He had been a longtime commitment to Louisville, before de-commiting.
Norwood likely finishes out the Sooners defensive back recruiting for the class of 2017 and its a pretty impressive haul with 4-Star S Robert Barnes, 4-Star CB Tre Brown, 4-Star CB Justin Broiles, and now Norwood.
Also many in the Sooner recruiting twitter-sphere are wondering about the “secret” or “silent” DB commit. It’s Norwood.
Look for the Sooners to add anywhere from 3-5 additional players between now and National Signing Day (February 1st).
