Oklahoma Sooners Football | Scott Pagano Down To Oregon & Oklahoma

The Oklahoma Sooners lost a ton of experience along the defensive line moving into 2017. In an attempt to help sure up any weak points, the coaching staff has talked with graduate transfers. One such player is Clemson’s Scott Pagano. Coincidentally, the Hawaiian native is set to announce a decision on Friday.

Announcing his intentions to transfer in February, Pagano made the rounds to three potential schools including the University of Oklahoma. However, the chances of the 6-3 295-pound lineman landing in Norman skyrocketed on Tuesday afternoon. Initially picking between Oregon, Oklahoma, and Notre Dame, the transfer crossed the Fighting Irish off the list according to NDInsider.

Yes, Pagano has experience on a National Championship caliber team for he past three season. Missing three games with a foot injury last season and earning four starts, Pagano brings a tenacity to the field often missed by other players. Let’s hope the tackle chooses Oklahoma but at the same time, let’s refuse to put the label of “savior” on any of these guys.
