The Oklahoma State Cowboys received a Sunday afternoon commitment from Sachse, Texas defensive end Tyler Lacy. Listed at 6-4/241, Lacy is ranked as a 3-star recruit by Rivals and had gained offers from twelve schools, including in-conference opponent Texas Tech. He has also drawn interest from Baylor and Kansas State, among others.
“First, I would like to thank God for blessing me with my abilities & this opportunity to live out my dream of playing at the next level,” Lacy said in a Tweet on Sunday. “I’m extremely blessed to be in the position that I’m in today,” Lacy stated, “with that being said I have decided to verbally commit to Oklahoma State University!!!”
Lacy becomes Oklahoma State’s eighth commitment for the 2018 recruiting class, and the first defensive end to commit. Scout has him ranked as the nation’s 66th ranked defensive end for 2018 and the 7th ranked prep defensive end in Texas.
