No. 10 Seeded Oklahoma Sooners Host Regional Tournament Thursday

Despite the No. 6 ranking and title of Big 12 Champions, the Oklahoma Sooners found themselves on the outside of the top-eight seeds in the NCAA Tournament. Coming in at No. 10, Patty Gasso and the rest of the crew are set to host regional play beginning Thursday. They’ll face the likes of North Dakota State while Arkansas and Tulsa also make the journey to Norman.

Assuming Oklahoma advances to Super Regional play, Auburn becomes the most likely destination and opponent. The expected scenario would immediately eliminate the defending national champion or the runner-up from last year’s WCWS. Regardless, if you want to be the best, you must beat the best!

However, it bodes well for OU knowing they are 16-0 in true road games this season. Yet, the two squared off at the beginning of the season. Sure, things change over the course of time. Still, it doesn’t remove the confidence of Auburn’s 3-2 win in Puerto Vallarta over the reigning national champions.
