The Oklahoma State Cowgirls are headed to the Sunshine State as the 2017 NCAA Softball Tournament opens. With 32 automatic bids and 32 at-large bids, the Pokes find themselves with possibly the most difficult draw. Making the trip to Gainesville, the national No. 1 seed, Florida, awaits any and all challengers.

However, the Cowgirls take to the field as the only out of state program. Squaring off against Florida International on Friday at 11:00 AM CT, hopes to earn a win in the double-elimination regional format. At the conclusion of the game, Florida and Florida A&M clash in the second game of the Gainesville Regional.
Head Coach, Kenny Gajewski continues to bring the program to new heights. Taking over the reigns in June of 2015, Gajewski led the Cowgirls to the NCAA Tournament in 2016. The appearance in regional play this year marks the second consecutive appearance for OSU. However, this trip will likely reunite Gajewski with a Florida program that gave him roots in the college softball world.
