The Oklahoma Sooners continue to find success on the recruiting trail with Lincoln Riley at the helm. Hosting a couple of prospects earlier this week, one left with an offer and a commitment. Hailing from the Dallas, Texas area, Austin Stogner has given a hard verbal to the coaching staff at the University of Oklahoma.

The 6-6 tight end is a part of the 2019 recruiting class for the Sooners and marks the first commit for the class for OU. Although the talented player held a single offer back in February, numerous others have jumped on board since then. Powerhouse programs like Oregon, LSU, Ohio State, Alabama and Notre Dame comprise a group now sitting on the outside looking in.
Boasting soft hands as a crisp route runner, Stogner appears to be an excellent fit in the Riley system. Of course, the trajectory of other TEs like current player, Mark Andrews can’t hurt the cause.
