Nick Collison has re-signed with the Thunder for one year so that he can finish out his career as an NBA player with the franchise that drafted him. Over the last few seasons, Collison’s playtime has devolved, and his role on the team has become that of a mentor and coach. He has seen many players come up through the franchise, and while some have moved on, others he has watched for their entire career.
While Oklahoma City’s roster looks much different today than it did even a year ago, Nick Collison has been around since the start for Thunder fans, so he will most assuredly receive a warm congratulations on his farewell tour. While his plans following the end of his career are unclear, he would undoubtedly be welcomed in some capacity by the organization.
