Oklahoma Sooners Land 2019 Commitment

The Oklahoma Sooners continue to find momentum on the recruiting trail. This time a verbal has come in for the 2019 Class as 3-Star Athlete, Jeffery Carter announced his decision via Twitter.

Holding several offers, Carter committed to play for the Sooners over the likes of Georgia, Penn State, and Oregon. However, there’s still plenty of time left on the 2019 recruiting cycle. As it currently stands, Carter joins two other 2019 recruits in the OU Class.

As a sophomore, the athlete played both sides of the ball. Posting 12 receptions as a receiver, Carter tallied up 217 yards of offense while scoring five touchdowns. On the defensive side of the ball, the Aledo, Texas product recorded 14 tackles. Inside those numbers, Carter added a tackle for loss, two pass break-ups, and one interception.

I am typically skeptical of such early recruitments coming to an end. That’s not to say Carter won’t end up a Sooner though. There are more than a handful of potential schools who could pick up interest in the coming season.
