2017 will be a season of transition for Oklahoma as the Sooners introduce new starting running backs, new receivers,…oh yeah…and a new head coach. However, the staff of one of America’s largest newspapers doesn’t feel like that make a difference in the Big 12 Conference as, on Monday, USA Today picked OU to win their third consecutive conference title.

In their release of predictions for all 130 FBS teams, USA Today picked Oklahoma to finish 10-2 (8-1 in conference) and edge out in-state rival OSU (also picked to go 10-2) for the championship.

Here’s how the publication predicted the Big 12 to finish.

Oklahoma – 10-2 (8-1)

Oklahoma State – 10-2 (7-2)

TCU – 9-3 (6-3)

Kansas State – 9-3 (6-3)

Texas – 7-5 (5-4)

West Virginia – 6-6 (4-5)

Texas Tech – 5-7 (3-6)

Baylor – 6-6 (3-6)

Iowa State – 4-8 (2-7)

Kansas – 4-8 (1-8)

Other conference champions predicted are Florida State (11-1) in the ACC, South Florida (10-2) American, Ohio State (12-0) Big Ten, Louisiana Tech (8-4) Conference USA, Toledo (9-3) Mid-American, Boise State (9-3) Mountain West, USC (11-1) PAC 12, Alabama 11-1 (SEC), Troy (9-3) Sun Belt.

USA Today also has Tulsa as finishing second in the American, West Division, with a 7-5 (5-3) overall record.
