Against the Tulane Green Wave, Matt Romar stepped off the field during the first quarter of play. The defensive lineman failed to return later during the outing leading to questions of his availability come Saturday. On Tuesday evening, it was revealed that Romar’s status ahead of Baylor had been labeled as questionable.
Matt Romar is day-to-day heading into the Baylor game. #Sooners unsure of his availability.

Heading into the season, the tackle hoped to make an immediate impact as the Oklahoma Sooners moved back to a base 4-3 defense. Starting all three games of the season, Romar’s only stat comes by way of an assisted tackle against Ohio State. However, the tackle is no stranger to injury and knows what it takes to get back on the field. Twice during his career has the tackle suffered an injury.
The absence of Romar leaves the defense short-handed across the board at this point in time. He joins the likes of Will Johnson, Robert Barnes, and Du’Vonta Lampkin as questionable moving into conference play.
