ICYMI | Big 12 Conference: Week 9 Game Times Released

The Big 12 currently has three teams inside the top ten of the AP Poll. Vying for a spot in the College Football Playoff, all eyes will remain on the conference. With quite a bit of football left to play, the landscape will continue to shift. Until that point, all programs must take a ‘one game at a time’ approach.

Clearly, the Oklahoma State Cowboys have the match up of the morning. In what could easily turn into a shootout, OSU is set to face the West Virginia Mountaineers. In the mountains of West Virginia, Mike Gundy hopes to increase his win margin. Currently sitting at 3-2 while playing in the same conference, the Cowboys hold an edge over their October 28th opponent. Yet, these two have met several times before playing in the Big 12 together. Dating back to 1928, the two teams have tangled eight times while splitting the games at 4-4.

The night cap pits the Texas Tech Red Raiders against the Oklahoma Sooners. It’s the only night game of the Big 12 Conference slate on that specific date. In the overall series, OU holds a convincing 18-6 record over their October 28th opponent. Last season provided a bit of drama. In a shootout, Oklahoma edged out the Red Raiders in Lubbock by a final of 66-59. With over 1,200 yards amassed by the quarterbacks alone, should fans expect a similar style of game?

Let us know which game you are looking forward to the most on October 28th!
