The 2017 college football season is just past the midway point and the Oklahoma Sooners are still in the thick of the Big 12 Conference and national championship races. That won’t keep anticipation for 2018 from building though. The university released the 2018 football schedule on Thursday and fans won’t need to make many travel plans early in the season.
The Sooners will start the season at home with their first ever meeting against Florida Atlantic and the host the UCLA Bruins before heading to Ames Iowa to get an early start on conference play. Not only is this the first road trip of the season for the Sooners, its the only true road game Oklahoma plays during the first seven weeks of the season.
Army rounds out the non-conference schedule for OU and will be Oklahoma’s third home opponent in four weeks. The Sooners end the season with a Friday game (day after Thanksgiving) at West Virginia.
