Our podcast got hijacked by discussions (some would say arguments) on Oklahoma’s offensive play-calling, Oklahoma State as well, a discussion of Big 12 defenses and how the more things change, the more they stay the same down in Austin, Texas. We also preview Oklahoma vs. Texas Tech (with score predictions) and go through the Big 12 rundown.
I feel like Oklahoma got way to creative against Kansas State and Oklahoma State wasn’t creative enough. In both cases it hurt their offensive game plans and nearly cost them games on the road. The point I’m trying to make (and Rich doesn’t fully agree with) is that it’s not a good idea to continually take Baker Mayfield off the field.
Is it great offenses in the Big 12 or terrible defenses? Let’s ask Ohio State if the Big 12 plays defense?
Can someone please explain to me how Texas is different under Tom Herman? Rich and I aren’t agreeing on this either.
We’ve also got a bit of a Texas Tech preview (arguing took up most of our time) and the Big 12 rundown.
