Friday Locks Season Results
Alabama (-4.5) at Auburn – Anytime I have the opportunity to take Alabama in a close game I’m going to do it. Year in and year out, Alabama is a top team in college football. They will step up to play with their season on the line.
Washington State (+10.5) at Washington – I am picking Washington State to pull off the upset in this one. Their offense is extremely dangerous, and might be too much for Washington to defend.
Iowa State (+2.5) at Kansas State – Despite now having four losses on the season, the Cyclones are still one of the better teams in the Big 12. I think they will come out strong and jump on Kansas State early.
Iowa State (+2.5) at Kansas State – There’s serious opportunity for a letdown here from the Wildcats and the Cyclones are chasing one of their best seasons in school history. This is going to be a game that goes to the wire and I thing Iowa State has a chance to pull the upset.
South Carolina (+13.5) vs. Clemson – I think it gets overlooked just how intense this rivalry is. I also think it gets overlooked how good South Carolina is. Give me USC with those points.
Washington State (+10.5) vs. Washington – Mike Leach and crew are looking for a berth in the conference championship game and the Huskies are the last obstacle in their way. Being a home underdog is just extra motivation. Fear the Pirate!!!
South Carolina (+13.5) vs Clemson – This isn’t a “gimme” game for the Clemson Tigers. In rivalries, all stats typically can be tossed out the window. This game will either be a blowout or a close win. For now I’m banking on a tight match from wire to wire!
OSU (-41) vs Kansas – After the disappointment last week, I believe the Cowboys come out with a vengeance. Getting creative on offense is the key for Pokes. With weapons like Hill, Rudolph, and Washington…Yurcich could find his name on the chopping block if he fails to become creative this week.
Notre Dame (-2.5) vs Stanford – This is the final shot for ND to make a case for playoff contention. It’s just too bad the PAC 12 may very well be worst of the power five conferences. Give me ND all day in this one.
Oklahoma (-22.5) vs. West Virginia – It’s Senior Day in Norman, and even though Baker Mayfield isn’t starting, and he’s been stripped of his duties as captain, he’s going to want to go out with a bang. Couple that with the fact that the Mountaineers lost Will Grier last week, and this could be a devastating blowout.
Clemson (-13.5) at South Carolina – The Tigers have had a somewhat quiet successful season so far, and they’re not about to slip up against South Carolina. Clemson will not only cover, but they’ll win this game by three touchdowns.
Washington vs. Washington State (+10.5) – Home field means a lot in a rivalry game, but in what I would consider a tossup on a neutral site, it’s definitely not worth double digits in points. I’m not sure if Mike Leach and the Cougars can pull out a win, but this game will definitely be decided by less than a touchdown.
