MBB AP Poll | Oklahoma Sooners Climb To No. 7

Rich DeCray

At the turn of the New Year, the Oklahoma Sooners are experiencing new heights. This past week, Lon Kruger took his program on the road to face the surprisingly good TCU Horned Frogs in Ft. Worth. Racing out to a quick 11-0 lead, the tides changed as the game played on. Eventually falling into a 15-point hole, OU looked finished.

However, picking up the pace of play, the Sooners clawed their way back into the contest. Regaining the lead, Kameron McGusty knocked down a few crucial, cold-blooded shots from behind the arc. The effort produced a win in the conference opener. With the victory, Oklahoma climbs to No. 7 in the latest AP Poll.
