For the second consecutive day, a junior for the Oklahoma Sooner has declared for the 2018 NFL Draft. This time, it’s Baker Mayfield’s top target and tight end, Mark Andrews.

Over the course of a redshirt junior season, Andrews hauled in a team leading 62 catches for 958 total yards. Averaging 15.5 yards per reception, the tight end crossed the goal line eight times helping the Sooners earn a spot in the College Football Playoff. However, the production on the field did not go unnoticed outside of Norman.
In December, Andrews was tabbed as the recipient of the Mackey Award given annually to the nation’s top tight end. With the feat, the junior became the first Sooner to earn the award. Yet, it was just a sign of things to come as Andrews was also tabbed a unanimous First Team All-American.
Looking ahead, Andrews is the No. 1 rated tight end in the draft. With his size and athleticism, the former Sooner projects well at the next level.
