Oklahoma Picks Up First Commitment Of Spring Game Weekend

There’s a lot on the line this weekend for Oklahoma football. Not only are the Sooners looking for new faces to fill the voids on offense and defense in the annual spring game, but a host of recruits are in Norman to get a glimpse of what a future wearing the crimson and cream could look like.

Four-star wide receiver Arjei Henderson became the first prep player to commit to Oklahoma on the weekend after making his pledge on Friday afternoon.

According to 247Sports, Henderson is the nation’s 171st ranked prospect and 27th at the wide receiver position. They also have him as the 20th ranked prospect in the state of Texas.

From Fort Bend Travis High School (Richmond, Texas), Henderson had narrowed down his 43 scholarship offers to Alabama, Oklahoma, and Texas A&M. He becomes Oklahoma’s fifth commitment of the 2019 football recruiting class.
