With the recent momentum for Oklahoma’s 2019 football recruiting class it’s easy to forget about the guys who have been on board for months now. Four-star Plano, Texas tight end Austin Stogner has a way to make fans remember him. A Tweet that emerged on Monday showed why he’s one of the top tight ends in the entire class.

Recruited by Cale Gundy, Stogner is the nation’s 103rd ranked prospect, 14th ranked prospect in Texas, and 2nd ranked tight end prospect. The 6-6/230 prospect has been committed to the Sooners since June of last year. In 2017 he caught 41 passes for 459 yards and 10 touchdowns.
He’s received 28 scholarship offers, to this point, and turned down the likes of Alabama, Baylor, Florida State, Michigan, Notre Dame, and Ohio State to commit to Oklahoma.
The Sooners just lost Mark Andrews and have Grant Calcaterra waiting to move into the spotlight, but Stogner is a bigger target by almost four inches.
