Oklahoma’s 2019 recruiting momentum is still gaining steam but 2020 is on the horizon and it’s never too early to look ahead. The Sooners are the latest school to get in on Powder Springs, Georgia defensive tackle Jamil Burroughs.

Coming off a stellar sophomore season, Burroughs has seen an up tick in his recruiting over the spring. Oklahoma joins Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Michigan, Michigan State, Mississippi, Notre Dame, Ohio State, South Carolina, and Tennessee on the list of schools recruiting the 6-3/320 defensive tackle.
The Sooners currently have four players committed for the 2020 class but they are all on the offensive side of the ball. With all four commitments ranked 4-stars or higher, 247Sports has Oklahoma’s 2020 class ranked #2 nationally.
Rivals has the class ranked #4 nationally but supports the star rankings that 247Sports has for the commitments. That suits Burroughs well as both recruiting services have him ranked as a 4-star recruit.
