Houston, Texas (Spring Woods) defensive end Vernon Broughton has had a weekend to remember. He entered the weekend with offers from Grambling State and Baylor (those offers came in April) and by Sunday night Georgia, Alabama, and Oklahoma had laid offers on the table.
The Bulldogs offered the 6-5/245 prospect on Saturday and then the Sooners and Crimson Tide came through on Sunday.

A prospect for the Class of 2020, you can bank on Broughton’s recruiting to explode from here.
When it comes to Oklahoma, the Sooners currently have eleven defensive ends on the roster and two committed for the class of 2019. OU’s 2020 class currently consists of three commitments – running backs Jase McClellan and Jaylan Knighton, along with athlete Drew Sanders.
Despite being a class that is small in number, 247Sports currently has Oklahoma with the nation’s #2 class and the top overall class in the Big 12. The Sooners are still looking for their first defensive commitment for 2020.
