Oklahoma’s 2019 recruiting class grew by another member on Friday when four-star offensive tackle Stacey Wilkins pledged his commitment.
Thought to have narrowed his decision down to Arkansas and Oklahoma, Wilkins chose the Sooners from among 31 total scholarship offers. Schools such as Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Georgia, Miami, Tennessee, and USC were all offering the Camden, Arkansas prospect because he not only has size but he also knows how to leverage it to punish opponents.
At 6-6/271 Wilkins moves opposing defensive linemen and has no problems taking them to the ground or driving them far from the play. Pancake blocks are a regular feature on his highlight film.
What makes him even more special is the attitude in which he plays with. He doesn’t just beat opponents, he punishes them. He flattens defenders with his size and power and shows absolutely no mercy while driving them away from the play. He has the perfect mindset for Bill Bedenbaugh’s offensive line.
