At the beginning of the season, Rodney Anderson separated himself from the rest of the Big 12 Conference as the premier NFL Prospect. Considered a complete running back, it’s easy to see how the junior attained the label. However, that was before the Oklahoma Sooner suffered a season-ending injury for the third time in his career. With the door swinging wide open, it was anyone’s guess as to which athlete assume the vacated role. Four games into the action, we may have an answer.

On Friday, the lead NFL Draft Content Creator for Bleacher Report, Matt Miller, released an updated tier ranking of the current prospects. The first name representing the Big 12 on the list is none other than Marquise “Hollywood” Brown. Considered a ‘tier four’ prospect by Miller, the wide receiver from Oklahoma sits inside the top fifteen of the upcoming draft.
What Brown lacks in size, he makes up for in speed. Possessing the ability to outrun defenders to a spot on the field, the receiver currently average over 100 yards per game this season. Reeling in 19 receptions, Brown has recorded 412 yards alongside three scores. An integral part of the Sooner offense, the Florida native is poised to lead the team in receiving yards for a second consecutive time.
Assuming the production holds steady, an NFL Franchise will take a chance on this type of speed and talent. The only question is: will it be in the first round like some predict?
