Storylines
The Cowboys are reeling after a 41-17 embarrassment last weekend in Stillwater at the hands of Texas Tech. They tumbled out of the polls, and they are now going to have to work to prove they even deserve an invitation to a bowl game.
Meanwhile, in Lawrence, the Jayhawks are 2-2 after a weird start to the season. They suffered a loss to FCS-foe Nicholls State in their season opener before dominating Central Michigan and Rutgers. Then, last week, they were handily defeated by Baylor.
Now, Oklahoma State and Kansas meet for the 69th time in college football history. The Cowboys lead the series 37-29-2 and have won the last eight in a row. As a matter a fact, in the last 14 meetings, the Jayhawks have only won once, back in 2007.
The Cowboys are once again heavily favored over the Jayhawks, and after an impressive start to the season on both sides of the ball, Oklahoma State will try to bounce back after an appalling performance from both the offense and the defense last week.
