The nation’s longest winning streak has been snapped as Oklahoma defeated North Texas 73-57 at the Lloyd Noble Center Tuesday night.
Star guard Christian James was limited to just 9 points, on 3-7 shooting, in twenty minutes of playing time but Miles Reynolds and Jamuni McNeace were more than capable of carrying the team.
McNeace scored 16 points, and grabbed 10 rebounds, to record a double-double. His second half reverse dunk electrified the crowd and deflated the Mean Green who were trying to make a run.
Oklahoma outscored UNT 44-30 in the second half after taking a small 29-27 lead into the locker room.
Miles Reynolds continued his streak of strong play off the bench by leading the Sooners in scoring. In thirty-one minutes of playing time , Reynolds shot 6-of-11 from the floor and scored 17 points.
Up next for OU is a trip to the Big Apple for the Jimmy V Classic.
