Redshirt junior offensive lineman Cody Ford became the first Oklahoma underclassman (Not counting Rodney Anderson) to declare for the 2019 NFL draft.
A 6-4/338 product of Pineville, LA, Ford started all fourteen games this season for Sooners at right tackle. The OU offensive line was ultimately named the Joe Moore Award winner as the best offensive line in the nation.
During his Oklahoma career, Ford played in 29 total games for the Sooners with 21 starts. He’s expected to be joined by left tackle Bobby Evans as an early entrant to the draft. Guards Ben Powers and Dru Samia were both seniors, meaning Creed Humphrey as potentially the only returning starter on the line next season.
