If you’re a top-flight high school receiver prospect then why wouldn’t you want to come to Oklahoma to play football? The Sooners are burning down the college football record books and sending skill position talent to the NFL on a yearly basis now.
Apparently Ellenwood, Georgia (Cedar Grove HS) standout Jadon Haselwood agrees. He became the latest commitment to Oklahoma’s 2019 class, adding a third 5-star recruit to the group.
Ranked as the top overall receiving prospect for the class of 2019, Haselwood was also the top overall prospect from the state of Georgia and the #6th overall recruit in the nation. The prestige he brings to this signing class will most likely move Oklahoma from Top 10 to Top 5 nationally. The Sooners already had the top overall class in the Big 12.
Haselwood had 17 total scholarship offers but only made four official visits to college campuses. Narrowing his choices down he visited Florida State, Georgia, Miami, and Oklahoma.
He becomes the 23rd member of OU’s 2019 class and the key figure in a strong set of receivers that also includes 5-star Theo Weise (Allen, TX), and 4-star Trejan Bridges (Carrollton, TX).
