Oklahoma offensive tackle Bobby Evans made it official Wednesday evening. He’ll be joining Cody Ford as an early entrant into upcoming NFL Draft. A three-year starter at Oklahoma, Evans started 40 games during his Sooner career.

Only One Returning Starter

Evans’ departure leaves OU with Creed Humphrey as the lone returning starter in 2019. A 6-5/325 redshirt freshman from Shawnee, OK, Humphrey started twelve games in 2018 and was named second-team All-Big 12 by the media and an honorable mention choice by Big 12 coaches.

Guys To Keep An Eye On

With four spots open along the offensive line, expect the competition to be strong from the spring through the summer. Here are four names to keep an eye on as early favorites to win a starting spot.

Finley Felix (6-5/310) – A 3-star JUCO transfer from Coffeyville, Kansas, Felix has the tools to be an immediate starter at one of the tackle positions.

Brey Walker (6-6/338) – Rated as a five-star recruit by 247Sports Walker spent his first season at Oklahoma as a redshirt. In 2019 he’ll have the opportunity to have an impact on the offensive line in the same manner as Humphrey did as a redshirt freshman. He was the #2 ranked offensive tackle prospect in the country for the 2018 class.

Marquis Hayes (6-5/351) – Played in three games as a backup in 2018. Was a four-star recruit by Rivals in 2017. Has a chance to lock down one of the guard positions.

Logan Roberson (6-4/373) – A redshirt sophomore in 2018, Roberson actually saw action in two games in 2017. He’ll be an early favorite for one of the guard positions.
