The Oklahoma Sooners continue an attempt to find the next great in a long line of wide receivers under the tutelage of Lincoln Riley. Previously securing letters of intent from some of the nation’s top receiving prospect for the upcoming season, the focus now rests firmly on the 2020 class. Dipping into the state of Texas, the program hopes Trevon West could be that guy.

Currently, West is rated as a 3-star wide receiver out of Arlington. Reeling in 45 catches as a second year starter, the wideout racked up 992 total yards. Crossing the goal line sixteen times, the budding star hopes to build on the stats as a senior. Holding a few regional offers from various schools, the Sooners recent offer is just one of five throughout the month of January. However, Oklahoma remains the most recognizable brand of the bunch.
Adding to the growing resume, West is also a track star at Lamar High School. Running a person best 11.19 in the 100-yard dash, the receiver has the speed to compete on the next level of football. The speedster competes in short distances proving to be one of the faster kids in the metro.
