Looking at the losses along the offensive line, the coaching staff entertained the idea of a plug-n-play veteran on a couple of occasions. The most recent one for the Oklahoma Sooners happens to be Jonah Jackson. A captain with the Rugters Scarlet Knights and now a graduate transfer, the lineman appears to be a perfect fit for Lincoln Riley’s offense.
Over the course of the weekend, Jackson decided to make an official visit to the University of Oklahoma. Hoping to develop relationships with coaches while acquainting himself with the campus, it now appears as though the lineman is leaning toward becoming a Sooner. At least that’s the story being portrayed by 247Sports Bucknuts Morning Five Podcast — a podcast geared for Ohio State fanatics.
Two weeks ago, Jackson listed the Ohio State Buckeyes as a potential landing spot by scheduling a visit. The one thing Colombus, Ohio provides that Norman, Oklahoma does not is a relatively close proximity to home. Yet, both are College Football Playoff contenders and are considered to be the two favorites to land a commitment from Jackson. Hailing from Media, Pennsylvania the 6-4 299-pound lineman has plenty to consider before making a decision.
For now it’s the Sooners in the lead!
