By simply stepping up on a scale and then to the tape measure former Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray won the NFL Combine. He won’t run or throw this weekend in Indianapolis but instead he will let the fire fueled by his measurements burn out of control.
On Wednesday I wrote that the Cardinals were about to set things in motion to draft Murray with the No. 1 overall pick on April 25th. Being taller and heavier than many “experts” had previously believed has others jumping on board in what was previously thought to be somewhat of a silly notion.
Murray measured in at 5-foot-10 1/8, 207 pounds Thursday morning in. His hands were 9 4/8, arms were 28 4/8 inches and wingspan was 69 4/8 inches. That was more than enough for chaos to ensure. With guys like Leinart marking Murray a “franchise changing QB” the momentum is only going to build.
