Oklahoma Baseball moved to 11-1 on the season with a four-game sweep of Columbia Friday and Saturday. After dismantling the Lions on Friday by a combined score of 21-4, the Sooners were back on the diamond for two more games on Saturday.
Levi Prater improved his season record to 2-1 in the early game by pitching six innings of shutout ball.
Sophomore Tanner Tredaway went three-of-four from the plate, batting from the lead-off position, with two runs scored and two RBI to boost Oklahoma’s offense in the 9-0 route.
In the nightcap OU scored five runs between the fifth and sixth innings to turn a 1-2 deficit into a 6-2 victory.
A two-hit/two-run performance from junior catcher Brady Lindsly highlighted Oklahoma’s offensive production in the second game. His RBI single in the bottom of the sixth scored the first of three runs in the inning to help the Sooners gain control of the game.
Ben Abram struck out seven batters in six innings from the mound to improve his season record to 3-0.
The Sooners will travel to Dallas on Tuesday to play Dallas Baptist. It’ll be the second time this season the two teams have faced each other with the Sooners taking a 4-2 win on February 20th.
