Four of Oklahoma State’s five starters scored in double figures to help the Cowboys close out the regular season with back-to-back wins.
Lindy Waters scored a game high 19 points and Yor Anei blocked eight shots, to set the school record for freshman, to lead OSU past West Virginia 85-77 in the regular season finale.
The Cowboys used a 14-2 run midway though the first half to pull away from the Mountaineers and then rode the wave of momentum to their second consecutive victory. After leading 49-41 at the break, Oklahoma State played West Virginia even through the final twenty minutes.
Anei added 16 points to go with his monster shot blocking performance. Thomas Dziagwa produced 15 points, and Cameron McGriff provided 14 points.
The win prevents Oklahoma State from finishing the regular season in last place in the conference and sends them into next week’s Big 12 Tournament riding on a bit of momentum.
