After frustration over no foul call from some contact at the rim, Russell Westbrook picked up his 16th technical foul of the season on Saturday night against the Golden State Warriors.
Unless the technical foul is rescinded, Westbrook will be fined $5,000, and more importantly, he will be suspended for Monday night’s matchup against the Miami Heat.
The Thunder is jockeying for a better spot in the Western Conference standings to ensure home-court advantage in the first round of the playoffs, and if Westbrook has to sit, their job will be that much tougher.
