Tucson, Arizona (Salpointe Catholic) 2020 safety Lathan Ransom has narrowed his list of twenty-eight scholarship offers down to fourteen possibilities, and among the programs with the opportunity to land the nation’s fourth-ranked safety prospect (Per 247Sports) are the Oklahoma Sooners.
“I’m really looking forward to getting out to Norman and seeing what they have to offer,” Ransom told 247Sports Blair Angulo.
Looking to trip his list down again to just five schools in July, the Sooners are going to have their chance to woo the 6-2/200 defensive back when he visits Norman for the spring game on April 13.
Oklahoma currently has six safeties on the roster with none committed for the 2020 class yet. Ransom did not rule out making his decision before his senior season gets underway.
Led by 5-star running back Jase McClellan, the Sooners currently have six players committed for 2020. OU is ranked by 247Sports as having the top class in the Big 12, as of right now, and the #14 class nationally.
