There are terrible ways to see your season come to a conclusion and then there’s what Oklahoma City suffered through late Tuesday night.
I think, after the Game Four loss, most OKC fans had come to the conclusion that the Thunder wasn’t going to win the series. That said, a 15 point lead at the seven minute mark of the fourth quarter sprung the promise that they would be back home in Game Six.
Then came the collapse and the dagger from Damian Lillard from near half court.
Lillard’s shot took everything from Oklahoma City. Hope, enthusiasm, joy, and confidence were all gone. The only thing left was disappointment.
