Thunder Against the Spread | Don’t Expect a Thunder Win in the Home Finale

The Thunder did themselves no favors in terms of the tank the other night when they dominated the Suns at home, so I feel like they’re going to do everything they can within reason to lose this one. At the same time, it’s the home finale, and maybe they’ll want to show out in front of the fans. Still, after an impressive win like Sunday, I expect an equally impressive loss tonight.

Oklahoma City Thunder | Game #79 Preview: Portland Trail Blazers

It’s been a long NBA regular season in a lot of ways, but the end is basically here as the Oklahoma City Thunder will finish the season on a 3-game road trip beginning tomorrow in Utah against the Jazz. Before the Thunder does that, however, they will play one more game tonight in OKC as they host the Portland Trail Blazers for the 2021-22 home finale.

Thunder Against the Spread | OKC is ACTUALLY Favored on the Road

For the first time all season long, the Thunder is a favorite on the road. I didn’t think this line made any sense, considering the fact that OKC’s injury list is a long one, but then I saw that Portland is an even worse situation than the Thunder. With that being said, I don’t think either team is going to want to win this game based on the timing and both organizations trying to tank as hard as possible. Still, I see OKC winning this one on accident somehow.

Oklahoma City Thunder | Game #51 Preview: Portland Trail Blazers

Just a few days have passed since the Oklahoma City Thunder rallied from a near 20-point deficit to trounce the Portland Trail Blazers at home, and since then, the Thunder has also defeated the Dallas Mavericks in overtime. Meanwhile, the Blazers have extended their losing streak to 3 with a 99-94 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers. Tonight, the Thunder and the Blazers meet in Portland for a late night tip-off.

OKC Thunder | The 10 Home Games I Can’t Wait to Attend

Now, as the Thunder begins their 14th season, I am finally a season-ticket holder. The Thunder hasn’t had fans in the building since March of 2019, and I for one could not be more excited. Yes, it’s almost guaranteed to be another tank season, and I’m more likely to be in the building for a loss than a win, but I’m still pumped. The NBA announced the full schedule for the 2021-22 season Friday afternoon, so without further ado, here are the 10 games that I’m looking forward to attending the most (in chronological order):

OKC Thunder | Game #49 Preview: Blazers

The Oklahoma City Thunder looked much more like the expected tanking team that they are last night as they suffered a scorching 140-103 loss to the Phoenix Suns. There is no rest for the weary, however, as tonight they travel all the way to Portland where they will take on the Portland Trail Blazers.

Thunder Against The Spread | Look For OKC To Keep Rolling As Underdogs

Oklahoma City is 15-10 against the spread as an underdog this season but just 4-7 as an underdog at home. That said, Portland is 9-4 against the spread this season but just 7-7 as a favorite. The Blazers have only played twice this season as a 6-to-9 point favorite and are 1-1 in those games. Meanwhile, Oklahoma City is 5-3 on the year as a 6-to-9 point dog.

OKC Thunder | Game Preview #27: Blazers

Tonight, the Thunder hosts the Portland Trail Blazers, a team that has also been bitten by the injury bug. Without CJ McCollum and Jusuf Nurkic, Damian Lillard has had to shoulder the load more so than normal, and as a result, Portland is 16-10 and sitting at 5th in the Western Conference.

Now the Thunder continues their 5-game road trip as they get ready to take on the Portland Trail Blazers (9-6). The Blazers are fresh off a 116-113 home victory over the New York Knicks, a game that was much closer than it should have been after the Blazers went into halftime with a 22-point lead.
