On Tuesday evening, Zachary Evans narrowed the list of potential destinations to five choice schools. Despite a slew of representatives from the southeastern portion of the States, the Oklahoma Sooners carry the flag for the Great Plains.
Evans carries the title of the nation’s top prospect with interest from each and every collegiate program. As a dynamic running back, the 5-star recruit displays a rare combination of speed, strength, and size. Standing 5-11 at 200-pounds, Evans showcased the ability to elude tacklers while dashing toward the endzone behind straight line quickness. Moving forward, many experts believe the running back possesses the talent and skill necessary to start as a true freshman as a major Division-I program.
Needless to say, Evans remains a game changer for the program that convinces the youngster to sign a letter of intent. However, the Houston product noticeably cut consideration of all schools within the state of Texas.
